Laura Rodriguez-McLean, a shareholder in the firm, is a graduate of the Texas Tech School of Law and earned her undergraduate degree at Columbia University in New York. Her practice focuses on assisting school districts in general school law matters which include advising administrators and school board members on personnel matters, student issues, the Texas Open Meetings Act and Texas Public Information Act. She began her career as a briefing attorney and staff attorney for state appellate judges at the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio. As a result of this experience, she has successfully defended many school districts in state and federal court appeals. In addition, her practice includes providing school administrators and board members with practical, hands-on training in various employment and student issues. She regularly speaks at school district professional group conferences on all facets of school law. Laura is a member of various bar associations, including the State Bar of Texas, San Antonio Bar Association and Federal Bar Association.

After working for six years in San Antonio, Laura moved to Dallas and continues to serve and assist school districts out of the Irving office.
