Immigration Associate Attorney
Location: Albuquerque, NM

Our Albuquerque, New Mexico office is expanding and seeking to add an attorney licensed in New Mexico, with 3–5 years’ experience, to continue our work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

 

The position involves the representation of public school districts and other educational institutions in areas of immigration and labor and employment law. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent research and writing skills are required. Public speaking experience, strong interpersonal skills, and experience with school districts or other governmental entities is preferred.

 

As New Mexico public school attorneys, we regularly advise our clients on issues related to the specialized legal rules and doctrines applicable to Indian tribes and Indian Sovereignty, including with respect to children, property matters, and intergovernmental relations.  We also work with school districts on compliance with a range of federal and state law, including but not limited to the New Mexico Indian Education Act.

Receptionist/Office Clerk
Location: Albuquerque, NM

We are seeking a reliable, full-time Receptionist/Office Clerk with superior organizational and communication skills. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

 

This position is responsible for the general upkeep of the office and overflow administrative support. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Answering multi-line phone, producing copies, routing faxes and other inter-office documents; pick up, sort and deliver mail; stocking and maintaining cleanliness of kitchen, copy rooms and conference rooms; delivering/picking up office supplies as needed; perform other projects as assigned by the supervisor.

 

The ideal candidate is a quick learner and the type of person who can handle multiple tasks efficiently with minimal supervision. Previous office experience with a basic knowledge in Microsoft Office programs is strongly preferred.

 

Qualifications include the following: must be able to lift or move items that are 50-75 lbs.; must have a clean driving record, a running vehicle and up-to-date vehicle insurance; ability to maintain a professional demeanor; excellent written and verbal communication skills; enthusiasm and pride in work; good time management skills, prioritization of tasks and follow-through ability; excellent attendance and punctuality, with a professional, neat and clean appearance.

Our San Antonio office is seeking an attorney licensed in Texas for 1-3 years to help us continue our work.

 

The position calls for an attorney who can successfully work to defend public schools and other governmental entities on issues involving special education/disability rights litigation as well as provide advice and consultation to public schools in the area of special education/disability rights.  A background in special education as well as public speaking experience and strong interpersonal skills is a plus, as is experience representing governmental entities in federal litigation.
